00:00 So this is going to be a little tutorial and review on how to wash your Blushies brushes.
00:06 So first of all, I'm going to start out with a container to wash my brushes in.
00:11 I'm just using a clear glass so you can see what I'm doing here.
00:15 And the first ingredient that I'm going to use to wash my brushes is Dawn soap.
00:23 It's antibacterial.
00:25 I just use pretty much any dish soap as long as it's antibacterial, it should work just fine.
00:31 And then my second ingredient that I'm going to use is coconut oil.
00:37 So I use this brand of coconut oil here to wash my brushes.
00:41 I use organic coconut oil and I just pretty much heat it up in the microwave for 30 seconds
00:48 and then it gets liquefied because when you first get it, it's solid.
00:53 So basically I just put one part coconut oil in my glass here
01:05 and then one part dish soap.
01:12 And then I'm going to use one of my Blushies brushes to sort of mix those things together.
01:20 And then I'm going to turn on some warm water and wash my brush.
01:43 So you always want to wash in a downward motion.
01:47 And the reason why is because if you wash your brushes like this,
01:50 the bristles of the brushes are usually fastened in this area right here.
01:56 So they're usually sewn in or glued in and you run the risk of getting water in this area,
02:05 like a good amount of water settling down in this area, which is going to sort of loosen the glue.
02:11 So you definitely always want to wash them downward and then lie them flat on a towel.
02:19 And then when you have a little bit more delicate of brushes, like this eyeliner brush right here,
02:28 you just want to be a little bit more gentle when you're washing them.
02:32 Kind of just dip it in there.
02:34 And then I kind of just massage it out rather than sort of doing that little swirly thing on my hand.
02:42 You can also use like a little towel or sponge and kind of just swirl it on there.
02:47 But with more delicate brushes, I kind of just like to massage the eyeliner or the product out of the brush
02:55 and then go in a downward motion again and sort of just rub it off.
03:04 So that is basically how you take care of and wash your Blushies brushes.
03:09 And I hope you learned a little something from this tutorial.
03:11 And thank you so much for watching. Bye.
