00:00 I can't help myself
00:03 I can't
00:05 The day was a fairytale, you were the prince
00:23 I used to be a damsel in distress
00:26 You took me by the hand, then you picked me up at six
00:29 The day was a fairytale
00:56 The day was a fairytale, I wore a dress
00:59 You wore a dark grey t-shirt
01:02 You told me I was pretty when I looked like a mess
01:05 The day was a fairytale
01:08 Time slows down whenever you're around
01:18 The Fearless Tour is inspired by lots of different elements that I've found fascinating in life.
01:25 I love costume changes, I love sparkles, I love glitter, I love the element of surprise.
01:32 Those are all things that I wanted to bring together and put on that stage.
01:37 I had been dreaming about doing my first headlining tour, I think since I was four years old.
01:43 The stage for the Fearless Tour was something that I spent a lot of time designing.
01:47 With Jonathan Smeaton, my stage designer, I wanted the stage to be part of the picture
01:52 and part of the visual, not just something we were standing on.
01:56 My stage was built in a warehouse in Nashville, and pulling up to see it for the first time felt
02:01 kind of like being dropped off on the first day of school.
02:04 I'm so excited!
02:07 I was a nervous wreck.
02:10 Nobody's seen anything, right?
02:13 I had always wanted to put together a show that incorporated theater and storytelling
02:20 and the songwriting and what I saw in my head when I was writing these songs.
02:24 [singing]
02:26 I'm actually nervous.
02:28 I have like butterflies in my stomach.
02:30 We did the best we could.
02:31 Okay, that's good.
02:33 That's fine.
02:34 No, it's not good.
02:35 Yeah, that's like what it's fine.
02:37 [music]
02:41 I walked in and saw it.
02:42 What?
02:43 That's huge!
02:44 Are you being serious?
02:45 This is giant!
02:47 And it was glorious.
02:49 [music]
02:51 That's what I mean!
02:53 That is so rocking.
02:55 When Taylor first laid eyes on that stage for the first time, it was like opening a present
02:59 Christmas morning, the biggest present she's ever had.
03:03 [music]
03:05 Oh my God, this is crazy.
03:07 [music]
03:08 Does the lift work?
03:10 Yeah.
03:11 You did?
03:12 Yeah, if you want to go.
03:13 Do you guys want to do the lift?
03:16 This pristine, sparkling white stage with staircases and all these different shapes,
03:22 and you could project different visuals onto the stage.
03:27 This comes out during Love Story, and it's going to be projected where these look like
03:30 castles, right?
03:31 And so we've been able to turn this whole thing into a story.
03:36 Yeah, I like it.
03:37 Me too.
03:38 All right, this is it.
03:39 Happy?
03:40 Yes.
03:41 I don't think that I ever expected I would be on a big stage like this when I started out.
03:45 This is pretty giant.
03:47 I could fall off of this and die, which is awesome.
03:51 [music]
03:52 Can I please see you put your hands in the air?
03:55 [applause]
