00:00 Hello everyone and welcome back to my channel.
00:02 Today I filmed a back to school makeup look/routine.
00:07 This is the second video of the back to school mini series.
00:11 So if you want to find out how to get this look which is a bit more than natural looking
00:15 but it's still very simple, please keep on watching this video.
00:19 Because this is a school look, rather than using a foundation which is a bit more heavier,
00:23 I'm going to go for a BB cream.
00:26 So I'm just going to use this one which is the Rimmel London BB cream.
00:30 It's a 9 in 1.
00:31 So it primes, soothes, conceals, helps minimise the appearance of pores, provides natural
00:37 looking coverage, moisturises, awakens tired skin, brightens the skin with vitamin C and
00:44 gives a radiant finish.
00:46 So we've all learnt something new today.
00:50 So I'm going to use that BB cream and to blend it in I'm going to use this Real Techniques
00:54 Expert Face Brush.
00:56 I'm just going to start blending all over my face.
01:05 This BB cream is a very, as you can probably see, it's a light coverage so it means that
01:11 your skin looks more like skin rather than, I don't know, plastic or rubber or metal.
01:18 I'm also going to blend it down to my neck and around my ears.
01:27 If you want to add a little bit more coverage you could just mix some of this in with a
01:31 little bit of your foundation.
01:32 For some reason I have a really shiny forehead right now.
01:40 So once your BB cream or foundation or tinted moisturiser, whatever you want to use, is
01:45 done.
01:46 Now we're moving on to concealer.
01:47 So I'm actually going to be using two today.
01:50 As always, well I always use, I'm going to start off with my Anti-Age Eraser Eye by Maybelline.
01:56 I'm just going to apply this to my under eye bags because school does make you quite tired
02:07 and have a lack of sleep.
02:10 So blending this concealer I'm just going to use a kind of, it's almost like a fluffy
02:16 concealer brush and I just find that it gives it more of an even coverage.
02:20 By the way, my mirror is down here again attached to my tripod, that's why I keep looking down.
02:30 Once I've blended that out a bit I'm just going to use my finger to make sure that it's
02:33 properly sunk into the skin.
02:40 Also just going to bring the concealer up onto my eyelid just to neutralise the colour
02:44 on my eyelid.
02:45 So for the second concealer that I'm going to use it's the Collection Lasting Perfection
02:50 in Fair.
02:51 So I'm just going to also put this under my eyes and on any blemishes.
02:55 As you can see this concealer is lighter than my natural shade so this just lightens your
03:05 under eye.
03:06 Which obviously you want to look wide awake for school and not tired because you went
03:10 to bed at 2 o'clock last night.
03:11 So once again I've just blended it out a bit and now I'm just going to use my finger.
03:15 We then want to set our makeup with powder because if you're going to school you're going
03:19 to be there for 6-7 hours so we want our makeup to stay in place, not to smudge and to not
03:25 smudge to still look as good as it did when we walked into school.
03:28 So I'm just going to use my Real Mastay Matte Powder.
03:32 Mine's actually in the colour 0016 Beige but you can use a translucent powder as well.
03:37 So I'm just going to use this brush here.
03:39 I'm going to start off powdering my under eye just because that's where the most product
03:42 is because we've got a layer of BB cream and then two concealers.
03:50 And then I'm just going to do the rest of my face.
03:52 My face looks so funny right now in the camera.
04:01 So obviously we now want to use some blush to give our face some colour so I'm going
04:05 to use this Make Me Blush W7 Blush and it's in the shade Zara.
04:12 For the blush I'm just going to use this blush brush.
04:22 I'm now going to add a bit of highlight because normally your skin would glow a bit when the
04:26 sun's hitting it so we still want our skin to look natural and light skin.
04:30 I'm going to use this Revolution Vivid Baked Highlighter in Pink Light just on the top of
04:35 my cheekbones.
04:36 It adds a bit of glow on the tip of my nose and my cupid's bow.
04:47 Now we're going to move on to eyebrows and eyes so I'm going to zoom the camera in.
04:50 I'm going to start off with eyebrows and you want them to look as natural and eyebrow looking
04:54 as possible so I'm going to use the Sleek Brow Kit in Light and I'm just going to use
05:03 the powder side rather than the wax because of course the wax makes them look more drawn
05:07 on.
05:08 So once your eyebrows are done you want to move on to eyes.
05:24 Now if you're one of the people out there who are actually not allowed to wear makeup
05:28 to school or you want to keep it very light and natural then you can either skip this
05:32 part or go for more toned down colours.
05:34 The colours I'm going to use are quite natural looking themselves but if you want to go the
05:38 more simpler you can just skip this part.
05:40 I'm going to start off by mixing this colour which will come up on screen now into the
05:45 crease.
05:46 It's quite a natural almost purpley browny shade.
05:53 To do this I'm just using a fluffy brush.
06:06 So once that colour is blended into your crease just remember not to do it too intense as
06:09 you want to keep it quite natural.
06:11 I've spoke pretty fast just then.
06:13 I'm then just going to take a mixture of these two colours and just put them all over my
06:19 eyelid.
06:21 It's best to also use matte colours because they of course will look more natural and
06:26 less shimmery.
06:27 If you do want to go for more of a shimmer then please feel free to if that's what you
06:31 want.
06:32 Now that that's done I do want to add a slight inner corner highlight so I'm just going to
06:43 go back to my Revolution baked highlighter.
06:46 This will just make you look more awake in the morning.
06:53 I'm also just going to take this colour slightly along the lower lash line but not too far.
07:01 Now I'm going to use a brown mascara to make it look more natural but I'm just going to
07:05 use a black mascara.
07:16 To make it more natural and tone down I'm not going to add any mascara to my bottom
07:20 lashes but if you want to feel free to.
07:22 For lips I'm going to use these Chubby Stix.
07:26 These are actually from Jack Wills and you get four in a packet and they look like this.
07:32 I'm going to mix together a bit of this one here and this one here.
07:37 The thing that I like about these is that they've got a pointed end so you can also
07:44 line your lips as you go along.
07:51 So then this obviously looks quite bright so to tone it down you can use this lip crayon
07:55 and the other Jack Wills one just a lighter shade.
08:07 And that is the makeup look done.
08:10 It's a bit more than natural looking but you could tweak it to how you want your makeup
08:15 to look.
08:16 So that's all for today.
