00:03 Hi guys, it's Candy.
00:04 This is like a beauty hack, beauty tip, why you're gonna fall in love with lip liner and
00:07 how it's gonna make your lips look bigger, larger, fuller, and more dimensional.
00:10 These are some lips which I colored pink.
00:12 This is just like putting one color of lipstick all over your mouth.
00:16 And what do we have here but a little bit of shading on the lips to make them look what?
00:21 Three dimensional!
00:22 So we contour and chisel the face, contour the nose, we contour and shade our eye, and
00:27 then when it comes to the lips, we just do nothing.
00:29 We just put a lipstick over it.
00:31 Maybe we line it outside, who knows.
00:32 I'm gonna show you how to contour and define your lips so they look bigger, fuller, so
00:35 people will be like, "Oh my gosh, what is on your lips?"
00:37 But we are gonna be using at least three colors per mouth.
00:40 And I will show you how to achieve this look for a nude mouth, a peach mouth, a pink mouth,
00:46 a red mouth, and even a rose-colored mouth.
00:49 Now grab your notes or just your mind and let's get started.
00:53 So the first thing you need to do every time you go to put lip liner or any kind of lip
00:56 action on, you need to prime the lips.
00:58 You can take any foundation or concealer and just make sure that you conceal the entire
01:01 edges of the lip.
01:02 You don't want any redness or natural pigment of the lip color coming through.
01:06 When you use a concealer or foundation, it knocks out all the color, so you're going
01:09 to get the actual pure pigment of whatever your lipstick, color, lip gloss, whatever
01:13 you're putting on your lips is.
01:14 Next, you wanna take any powder and dab it right over the foundation or concealer you
01:19 just used.
01:20 This is going to set the concealer and it's gonna make sure that it's very dry around
01:23 the edges of your mouth so that your lip liner stays on, it doesn't get feathery or smear
01:27 or smudge off.
01:28 Okay, so first I'm just gonna show you a very basic nude mouth.
01:31 So I'm just gonna take any nude lip color.
01:33 This is Pure Zen from MAC and apply it in the center of the lips.
01:35 I'm gonna take Liar from Urban Decay, which is kind of a little peachy, wormy brown, and
01:39 I'm gonna line the edges.
01:40 Then you just soften it up and blend, 'cause you don't wanna leave that harsh line there.
01:44 Now we're gonna do the top.
01:47 And the areas where you wanna pay attention to is in these corners.
01:49 You wanna make them look darker and then feather it out so it's darkest in the corners and
01:53 then softened out.
01:54 That way it looks like the edges of the cheeks are being pinched because your lips are so
01:58 swollen and full.
02:02 If you wanna take it one step further, I got your back too.
02:05 So this is 5C from Makeup Forever.
02:08 It's one of my favorite colors.
02:09 Everybody should own it.
02:10 And it's a soft brown.
02:11 So now we're really going to go to town under here and contour this and a little more in
02:18 the corners.
02:19 And ta-da!
02:20 My lips look way fuller after and it doesn't look like I did a crazy outline or anything
02:24 like that.
02:25 Now let's move on to a pink lip.
02:27 Take any light pink lipstick or lip liner.
02:29 This is In Sync from MAC or you could use Native from Urban Decay.
02:33 Apply it in the center of both of your upper and lower lips.
02:37 Then you can take a deeper rose pink, like Turn On or Wicked from Urban Decay, and line
02:42 the edge of the lips.
02:43 And then soften up that line just a little.
02:46 Go into the corners.
02:48 You just really want to leave this center area highlighted.
02:51 And then I'm going to take the Wicked color, which is a little bit darker, and go right
02:55 underneath.
02:56 See how it gives a little bit more dimension?
02:57 And then in the inner corners.
03:00 And you can either dab a gloss or a light pink eyeshadow color in the center.
03:06 And there you have your pretty rose pink mouth.
03:08 Now for a pretty coral peachy mouth.
03:10 I'm just taking Riot House, which was Kelly Osbourne's color from MAC, placing that in
03:14 the center.
03:15 This is one of my favorite colors.
03:16 This is Streak from Urban Decay.
03:17 And we're just going to fill in the outside edges again.
03:22 Then I like to take Bang, which is a brighter orange from Urban Decay, and we're going to
03:25 line the edges.
03:28 And then gently fill them in just a little bit.
03:33 And always make sure you get the corners.
03:37 Then you can add a little more of your peach color in the center.
03:41 And I like to blend it down.
03:45 So for a more rose brown look, I'm just going to take a lip liner.
03:48 This is Liar from Urban Decay.
03:49 I'm going to put this all over my mouth.
03:57 Then I'm going to take my brown, 7C from Makeup Forever, and we're going to shade the edges.
04:09 And you can even add a little bit of highlight.
04:11 This is 20C from Makeup Forever.
04:13 I'm going to put right in the center.
04:18 This is a really pretty rosy brown.
04:20 It's kind of that Kendall and Kylie Jenner lip look.
04:22 And you can even contour reds.
04:24 This is Ruby Woo, one of my favorite matte reds from MAC.
04:27 And this is fine.
04:28 You've got your basic red lip, but I'm going to show you how to contour it and make it
04:30 a little better.
04:31 Next, I always like to make sure that I take Cherry Lip Liner, which is one of my all-time
04:35 favorites, and really define the edges.
04:39 Now the edges are more defined, and it looks a little bit fuller already.
04:42 But you can always take my old friend, Cork Lip Liner from MAC, and shade it in under
04:47 the bottom.
04:48 And then you really concentrate on the corners.
04:52 Then we're just going to go back with our Cherry and blend it in a little bit.
04:58 And one last bright orange color before I go.
05:02 This is So Chaud from MAC, which is one of my favorite colors.
05:05 It's very orange and matte.
05:08 And just alone it looks like, whatever.
05:11 But you take a little bit of your Cherry Lip Liner.
05:13 And you gently blend the edges.
05:19 And then finish it off by dabbing a little bit of the lip color in the center again.
05:23 And a beautiful orange red awaits you.
05:25 Remember, it's about three colors per lip.
05:27 The more colors you add, the more dimension it's going to be.
05:30 If you just put one eye shadow color all over your eye, it's going to look very boring and
05:34 flat.
05:35 But you add a few different colors, and that's when it becomes interesting, and there's depth,
05:38 and there's different tonal values.
05:39 Don't leave your lips hanging by just putting one color on them.
05:42 Add some other ones.
05:43 And watch how fun it will be, and you'll probably get a lot of compliments on, "What is that
05:46 lip color you're wearing?"
05:47 It's like, "I have like five lip liners, two lipsticks, and a dab of an eye shadow on to
05:50 look."
