01:22 Compared to a lot of Asian countries,

01:24 Taiwan is more liberal and democratic.

01:26 And on the basis of democracy,

01:27 Taiwanese people are given the opportunities

01:29 to have more open conversations on various topics.

01:31 People can be more true to themselves.

01:33 And this phenomenon doesn't happen only to LGBTQ,

01:35 but also to Taiwanese in general.

01:38 For Taiwanese rights groups, the long road to equality continues.

01:41 The next battle is to legalize fertility treatments for lesbian couples.
