Welcome Back friends to a new day of our adventure ride to lahaul spiti, it was a bright sunny day, weather was awesome so we finally decided to leave rakcham after 3 days.
today's journey was 140 KM as per google maps. We started at around 10 in the morning. there was nothing new till rakcham, the same old bad and dangerous road but as soon as we crossed karcham, we were surprised to see such a beautiful road and newly constructed bridges.
on the way we took a few stops including the one at khab bridge, it was just mesmerising. It’s a perfect place to take a few photographs and videos. due to a shortage of time we left for nako.
reached nako at around 4 PM. our hotel was very near to nako lake. we were surprised to see the amount of construction going on at nako, it was so much commercialised.
Well, I guess everything is changing due to development. I fear we may lose the beauty of nature in a few years from now. Well, it was so beautiful and amazing that we spent almost two hours at the lake. Nako lake is situated at an height of 11988 FT. Staying at nako is not advisable if you are a first timer. acute mountain sickness can hit you if you are not a frequent traveller to high altitudes .
