Compact sedans may not be as popular now as they were before, but there’s still a market for them. MG Philippines is one of the carmakers to launch an entry in this segment, in the form of the MG GT. Locally, it’s available in two variants: the naturally aspirated 2023 MG GT Alpha, priced at P1,015,888, and the turbocharged MG GT Sport, priced at P1,193,888.
The non-turbo MG GT Alpha is what we’re reviewing for this Drives video. Given that MG is calling the GT a ‘sport sedan,’ does this base variant live up to that claim even with lower output figures compared with the turbocharged version? And what does this car offer to compact-sedan buyers? Watch our video to find out, and let us know your thoughts in the comments.
