As homelessness continues to grow in Los Angeles, regular everyday people - who have no professional experience in social work or outreach - are stepping up to help their homeless neighbors. Ktown for All is a model for those who want to take action. This volunteer-led community action group provides direct support to homeless people in Koreatown. They also work to affect policy change to stop the criminalization of homelessness.

It's really encouraging to see community action groups across the United States providing tangible support for homeless people in their own communities. Each group forms out of compassion for their homeless neighbors and a growing frustration that local municipalities are not doing enough to help end homelessness.


These Stories is a mini-doc series that goes beyond the rhetoric, statistics, political debates, and limitations of social services to examine poverty in America via a medium that audiences of all ages understand, and can’t ignore.
