By special request, I've started to reload the series of Spanish lyric I had on my previous channel. Miguel Fleta (1897-1938) was one of Spain's best tenors ever who made quite a lot of recordings in the 20's and 30's. Besides the international operatic repertoire he sung many pieces from his national heritage (songs, operetta and opera). Agustín Pérez Soriano (1846-1907) is a lesser known zarzuela composer, best remembered for "El guitarrico", premiered in 1900, of which this aria "Suena guitarrico mío" is the most famous, and recorded many times even today. This recording (the first Fleta made of this piece), was made in 1926. The accompanying orchestra was directed by Concordio Gelabert.
