The Other Half — The Other Half 1968 (USA, Garage/Psychedelic Rock)
  • last year
The only album from a group formed in Los Angeles but relocated to San Francisco. Guitarist Randy Holden after leaving "The Sons Of Adam" was casting for the place of Jeff Beck in "The Yardbirds", but did not pass and went to the created "The Other Half". The group enjoyed moderate popularity in San Francisco, releasing several singles and one album. Immediately after recording, even before the release of the album, Holden decided that the album was bad and left for Blue Cheer. Although the album turned out to be good and was favorably received by critics and the public. The band's style is a mixture of blues, garage, hard rock and some oriental influences. Sounds like the Yardbirds... Not to be confused with the 1966 album of the same name by a Pennsylvania garage band of the exact same name.
