Jumbo rescue: Mother and calf freed from trap | The Nation

An elephant and her calf were rescued after becoming trapped in a deep hole in Kanchanaburi province on Monday.

The mother fell into the hole while trying to rescue her calf after it fell into the hole, 0fficials from Lam Khlong Ngu National Park said.

They used a backhoe to dig an escape route for the pair.
