It is the age of Imperial Rome. Young Timo is an orphan of Pompeii's terrible eruption, adopted by general Chrione and raised in the most famous Gladiator's Academy of Rome. Is this the beginning of a new legend? The legend of a great hero? Not so much! Timo is not exactly gladiator material. He just wants to hang out with his friends and avoid his father's bizzare training sessions. However when Timo meets the lovely Lucilla, he decides to change his life and bring out the valour inside himself. Through spells, crazy raids in the woods and terrible trainings of a very personal lady trainer, Timo has to transform himself into the greatest gladiator of all time.

Der junge Timo wurde durch die Zerstörung Pompejis zum Waisenkind, doch der gütige General Chirone adoptiert ihn und bildet ihn an der besten Gladiatorenschule Roms aus. Doch so ganz zum legendären Krieger taugt Timo nicht - im Gegenteil. Er möchte lieber mit seinen Freunden Ciccius und Mauritius rumhängen als sich den Gängelungen und absurden Trainingsmethoden seines Stiefvaters aussetzen. Bis er eines Tages die wundervolle Lucilla trifft und plötzlich sein Kampfgeist geweckt wird. Wird er der größte Gladiator werden, den Rom je gesehen hat?
