माघ माह का धार्मिक दृष्टिकोण से बहुत ही खास महत्व है, माघ मास के शुक्ल पक्ष की तृतीय तिथि का भी हिंदू धर्म में विशेष महत्व बताया गया है। इस तिथि को गौरा तृतीया पर्व के रूप में मनाते हैं। इस पर्व का उतना ही महत्व है, जितना तीज पर्व का है। इस तिथि को माता गौरी की जन्मतिथि के रूप में भी मनाते हैं। इस दिन माता गौरी की विशेष पूजा और व्रत का रखने का विधान है, शास्त्रों में इस व्रत महिमा का बखान मिलता है। इस साल 24 जनवरी मंगलवार के दिन गौरी तृतीय व्रत रखा जाएगा। मां पार्वती की कृपा करने के लिए गौरी तृतीया व्रत अवश्य करना चाहिए, ऐसा शास्त्रों में बताया गया है।
