From being the officer in charge (OIC) of Malacañang’s communication arm, Undersecretary Cheloy Garafil is now the new secretary of the Presidential Communications Office (PCO).
Prior to the designation, Garafil served as the OIC of the PCO, which was previously called Office of the Press Secretary (OPS), since October 2022. Garafil was first tapped by the President to help run the OPS, following the resignation of its former head Trixie Cruz-Angeles.
