Jerusalem relishes WBO world title belt | Sports Desk

It was worth the wait for newly-crowned minimumweight world champion Melvin Jerusalem. The 28-year-old title holder said he waited for about six years before realizing his dream of winning a world crown.

Jerusalem snatched the WBO belt when he stopped Masataki Taniguchi in the second round of their 12-round title bout last weekeend in Osaka, Japan. The victory improves Jerusalem's record to 20 wins and two losses with 12 knockouts.

We speak with Melvin as well as his trainer Michael Domingo and they walk us through their victorious campaign in Japan.
