This lick is in the key of C♯ major blues.
This lick was played on from I chord to IV chord to I chord.
The 6th interval double stops at the beginning are based on C♯ mixolydian scale (= F♯ major scale) and the lick resolves to chord tones of F♯7. 6th interval licks are very interesting. Try exploring 6th intervals on C♯ mixolydian scale (Note 2).
And the rest of the lick is based on C♯ major and minor pentatonic scale.
Try incorporating major and minor pentatonic scale using the red box position (Note 3).
