CHRIST THE 'BAMBINO'
Devotees of the 'Bambino' in Paete, Laguna perform the tradition of bathing the baby Jesus Christ using oil in preparation for Christmas Day, Dec. 25, 2022, his known birthday. The religious image is made of Ivory. Arriving from Mexico in 1723, the image is considered one of the five important religious images in Paete. It is in the care of the Dans family and will be brought to the church for public viewing.
