Supabase is an open source alternative to Firebase. We're using enterprise-class open source tools to build the functionality that Firebase provides.
If tools and communities that support such tools exist, with an MIT, Apache 2, or equivalent open license, we will use and support the tool. If the tool doesn't exist, we'll build and source it ourselves. Supabase is not a 1:1 version of Firebase. Our aim is to provide developers with a great Firebase-like experience using open source tools.
