The formation of four distinct categories—Autonomous, Preferential, First, and Second—stands out as one of the significant improvements that the Royal Football Federation of Madrid (RFFM) will implement in the youngest competition. It has been decided that adding the Honorary and Third Division will not be done at this time.
The board of directors of the RFFM gained permission of the Modification of the Benjamin Competition to divide the clubs into different categories and add the dynamics of promotion and relegation as in the higher categories during the final General Assembly of the 2014-2015 season.
The RFFM has spoken with other territorial federations, as well as managers, coaches, delegates, and other organizations participating in this category, in order to carry out this significant reform.
All the changes that will be made, the format of the competition, and the regions into which the Community of Madrid is divided to create the groups are detailed in the paper that is attached below. Also listed are all locations.
