First kill on Indian soil for Namibian Cheetahs in Kuno
  • last year
The two male cheetahs, who were released into a larger enclosure at Kuno National Park have made their first kill within 24 hours.
The cheetahs reportedly hunted down a spotted deer on the intervening night of November 6-7. The two cheetahs were the first pair of the others to be released into the larger enclosure on November 5.
These cheetahs have been quarantined for about 50 days after being transported from Namibia. PM Modi had introduced the cheetahs in India on his birthday this year on September 17
