Temperatures in Europe are rising at twice the global average

The COP27 climate summit in Egypt is now just days away and today Rishi Sunak made something of an awkward U-turn by deciding he would, after all be attending it.

As he made that decision, there was something of a shock for the wealthy countries of Europe who, perhaps, see themselves as leading the battle against global warming.

Raging wildfires and sudden severe floods have already become a grim feature of British and European summers.

Now it's been revealed that temperatures in Europe are rising at twice the global average.
