Europe faces an energy crisis as Russia continues its war against Ukraine which has resulted in the decrease of natural gas source coming from them. People have resorted to firewood as their heating source as the temperature begins to go down. As to it being a cheaper source, prices started to rise as the shortage began. Theft and scams also became a threat that led to foresters opting to use GPS devices on their logs to easily locate them when stolen. Their concern did not end there, as the environment is highly susceptible with the gradual tree cutting and burning that keeps people warm on their own houses.
Thursday's report by the International Energy Agency stated there could be a significant change towards cleaner energy as the energy costs propel higher due to the continues Ukraine War and other economic factors.
