The founders of the British rock band Clancy were five young people: Jonathan "Jojo" Glemser ("Help Yourself"), Steve Brendall ("Matchbox"), Ernie Graham ("Eire Apparent", "Help Yourself"), Dave Vasco ( "The Foundations") and Colin Bass (future bassist for "Camel", before Clancy played in "The Foundations" and "Velvet Opera"). The group lasted until 1976, recording two albums. By this time, Colin (bass, vocals), Ernie (guitar, vocals) and Dave (keyboards, vocals) remained from the original line-up, joined by Barry Ford (drums, vocals), Dave Skinner (keyboards, vocals) and Gaspar Lawal (percussion).
