Phil Flip Sloan ( Philip Gary Schlein) is a writer whose songs have been performed by Barry McGuire, The Searchers, Jan and Dean, Herman's Hermits, Johnny Rivers, The Grass Roots, The Turtles, The Mamas & The Papas. Together with Steve Barry - the main authors of the Dunhill label and the creators of the project (then the group) The Grass Roots. In the early 70s (when he was a little over 25 years old) he essentially ended his musical career ... The reason was drugs and mental illness.
