A public protest rally was taken out in Banaskantha against love jihad. Thousands of people including BJP MLAs attended the rally. The police also lathi-charged the protesters. A Muslim man married a Hindu girl in Banaskantha. After this, the conversion of the girl and her mother was done. The girl's father had opposed this. When the matter came to light, politics got heated. BJP also joined the protest rally against Hindu organizations.
