Brethren - album Moment of truth 1971

  • 2 anni fa
Second and last album by Brethren. Rusty Young and his pedal steel guitar are gone, and the rest of the band decided to add a bunch of horn players. While the backing vocalists on the first album were three (The Blossoms) in "Moment of truth" the backing vocalists are five (The Girls). Obviously the sound has changed, more hippie rural blues Southern rock with soul-ish infested feelings, gospel country influenced music with funk and soul moves.

Tom Cosgrove - vocals, guitar, percussion.
Mike Garson - keyboards.
Stu Woods - bass, clavinet.
Rick Marotta - drums.
Dave Liebman - baritone saxophone.
Barry Rodgers - trombone.
The Girls (Adrienne Albert, Marilyn Jackson, Tasha Thomas, Maeretha Stewart, Albertine Robinson) - bacling vocals.

Loop Garro.
Weslwy with the gun.
Sun and the moon.
Freedom blues.
Lady on the terrace.
Move on.
Rainy day lady.
History repeats itself.
Blaze.
