In this clip, the family creates an attractive black lady with bold red lips out of plastic bags.
“Because we live in an area where plastic bags are all over, we decided to use discarded plastic (polythene) bags in making our artworks,” Obed said. “For the past three years, we have developed an interest in recycling plastic waste and rubber for creative purposes and addressing social issues.
“This idea came about after learning that the world battles with plastic and rubber waste management. Also, it is estimated that in the year 2050, there will be more plastic waste than fish in the ocean if the situation is not tackled collectively.”
