22 crore applied for Govt job in 8 yrs, 7.22 lac selected

A big announcement was made in the month of June. The Prime Minister himself said that one million jobs will be given in the central departments within the next one and a half years. Now yesterday the data came from the government side in the Parliament. It was told that 22 crore applications were received for jobs in central departments in 8 years. But only 7 lakh 22 thousand people got the job.
