Austria’s Carinthia State Hit by Mudslides After Heavy Rainfall, Atleast One Dead

The Carinthia region of Austria has been hit by a spate of natural disasters after heavy rains triggered floods followed by mudslides which have killed atleast one person and covered villages in mud. Several people who were trapped in their homes had to be airlifted to safety by helicopter. The Austrian government has declared a civil emergency in the southern region.
