During his long career in music, John Cale changed his music styles many times, and his third album after Velvet is no exception. "The Academy in peril" is a mix of avant-garde, elegant and strange piano miniatures, classic avant-minimal composition, prog, neo-folkie tunes, songs with cold and abstract structures and melodies.
