Ilford fire: 100 firefighters tackling blaze in 15-storey Manor Park block

Dozens of firefighters and 15 fire engines have been sent to tackle a blaze in a 15-storey high-rise block in Ilford.

Flames broke out in part of a flat on the 13th floor of the building, on Grantham Road, in Manor Park, this afternoon (Tuesday, June 21).

Ten fire engines and around 70 firefighters were originally sent to the scene.

Around 60 people left the building before the fire brigade arrived.
