Health minister Khairy Jamaluddin has confirmed that Malaysia is facing shortages of several over-the-counter medications, such as flu and cough syrups, medication for food poisoning, and several types of antibiotics. This after discussions with pharmaceutical associations early this month. Is poor governance and planning at the heart of the problem?
