I Lost My Eye To Cancer | BEASTIES

FROM LIVING on the streets to losing half of her face to cancer, eight-year-old basset hound Flynn has been through it all. Thanks to her owner, Stephanie, Flynn managed to bounce back each and every time. In 2014, Stephanie adopted Flynn from a rescue centre in Colorado after the pup was found wandering the streets alone. Two years ago, Stephanie noticed a bump on Flynn's eye that kept getting bigger. The vet removed the tumour from under Flynn's eye but the cancer had already spread. The hound had to remove her eyeball, two bones and a lymph node in order to clear out the cancer. After months of treatment and dedicated care, the brave little fighter was finally cancer-free. Stephanie said: "Flynn is thriving now post-cancer. She's faced a lot of adversity but her tail keeps wagging. Her tail never stopped wagging." Stephanie is now sharing Flynn's story on social media in hopes of inspiring others with the pup's journey. She said: "Flynn has such a great story about perseverance and I wanna share it with the world. Life without Flynn would be very empty. I would miss her a lot."
