Assam floods wreck havoc, over 7 lakh affected, 14 dies

Torrential rains brought the heavy floods in Assam, with four more people perishing in the deluge. While two people died in the Cachar district, Lakhimpur and Nagaon witnessed one death each. The death toll in the current pre-monsoon floods and landslides in Assam has risen to 14, with nearly 7.12 lakh people affected in 29 of the state's 34 districts. On the other hand, a total of 80036.90-hectare crop areas have been affected in 2,251 villages across the 29 affected districts. Watch complete news.
