Make this Authentic Thai Tom Yum Soup at Home

There are two versions of tom yum, Clear Tom Yum Soup (Tom Yum Goong Nam Sai) and creamy Tom Yum Soup (Tom Yum Goong Nam Khon) which is made from the clear version with the addition of evaporated milk.
I make clear tom yum soup in this video. If you want to make the creamy version, add 100 ml of evaporated milk after adding the prawns.

This tom yum goong recipe is very delicious and full of flavor, and it has the vibrant flavor of lime against the sweet, smoky taste of chile jam. When making this thai hot and sour soup recipe make sure you use fresh prawns.For the stock, you can also use chicken stock instead of prawn stock.



To make this tom yum goong, you’ll need :

2 lemongrass
4 cm galangal
6 shallots
5 lime leaves
500 gr large prawn
1L prawn stock
2 tbsp chili paste
150 gr oyster mushroom
2 tbsp fish sauce
1 tbsp sugar
2 chili
2 lime
