Eight Basketball Africa League (BAL) teams from eight different countries have earned their positions into the 2022 BAL Playoffs to crown the second-ever BAL Champion including AS Sal (Morocco), Cape Town Tigers (South Africa), F.A.P (Cameroon), Petro de Luanda (Angola), REG (Rwanda), S.L.A.C (Guinea), US Monastir (Tunisia), and the inaugural 2021 BAL Champion Zamalek (Egypt).
