The Hindu community is a minority in Pakistan. There, the news of their plight and different types of exploitation keeps making headlines every day. Thus, in the quest to lead a dignified life, many Hindu families from across the border wish to come to India and be here. For the last few years, such Hindu families continue to come here. Similarly, 800 Hindu families had reached India from Pakistan in the desire that they should get citizenship here and they would not have to go to Pakistan again. But this could not happen.

पाकिस्तान में हिन्दू समुदाय अल्पसंख्यक है। वहां पर उनकी बदहाली और अलग-अलग तरह के शोषण की खबरें आए-दिन सुर्खियां बनती रहती हैं। ऐसे में एक सम्मानजनक जीवन जीने का चाह में, सीमा पार से कई हिन्दू परिवार भारत आने और यहीं के हो जाने की चाह रखते हैं। पिछले कुछ सालों से यहां पर ऐसे हिन्दू परिवारों का आना लगातार जारी है। ऐसे ही 800 हिन्दू परिवार पाकिस्तान से भारत इस चाह में पहुंचे थे, कि उन्हें यहीं की नागरिकता मिल जाए और उन्हें फिर से पाकिस्तान ना जाना पड़े। लेकिन ऐसा हो ना सका।
