US defence secretary Lloyd Austin said that it expects India to scale down its dependence on Russian military equipment. Austin told House Armed Services Committee that they have been working with India to ensure that they understand that it’s not in their best interest to continue to invest in Russian equipment .Meanwhile USA, Britain and Germany have been forcing Indian to reconsider its inclination towards Russia in the Ukraine crisis.

अमेरिकी रक्षा मंत्री लॉयड ऑस्टिन ने उम्मीद जताई है कि भारत रूसी सैन्य उपकरणों पर अपनी निर्भरता को कम करेगा। ऑस्टिन ने हाउस आर्म्ड सर्विसेज कमेटी को बताया कि वे यह सुनिश्चित करने के लिए भारत के साथ काम कर रहे हैं कि वे समझें कि रूसी उपकरणों में निवेश जारी रखना उनके हित में नहीं है। इस बीच अमरीका, ब्रिटेन और जर्मनी भारत को यूक्रेन मामले में रूस की तरफ अपने झुकाव पर पुनर्विचार करने के लिए मजबूर कर रहे हैं।
