This man constructed a DIY Western storefront greenhouse for her daughter. He began the building process by felling trees and building the greenhouse's outer base out of wooden logs. Upon completion, he put water barrels inside and built a massive wooden plank for plants to grow on.

00:00Hey folks, Micah McGee here. It's almost springtime. I know it feels like it's in the middle of
00:06the winter right now, but by the time you get this video going, it ain't gonna be in
00:10the middle of the winter anymore because it's gonna take us a while to cut all these trees
00:14down and build a greenhouse. My daughter would like to have a greenhouse to start plants
00:18in. Right there is where it's gonna be. Let's knock these down and build a greenhouse.
00:48Let's do it.

06:16Alright folks, there you have it. Building complete. Got the tables complete. We might
06:21build one over there if she needs one later. And with this metal roof on this half, we'll
06:26be able to stick a stovepipe right through if we need to add wood heat to this for future.
06:32Now this year it's getting late enough in the spring that we're probably gonna have
06:36to do that, but it's available if we need to. The sun comes across at an angle to where
06:41we can put solid metal on this side and that really strengthens the structure so the wind
06:46won't move it around and crack the plastic. So we're pretty excited about this. We were
06:51able to use water barrels to fill up 420 gallons of water right here in these black barrels.
07:00I put black metal on top of it. That'll heat up throughout the day and release that heat
07:06at night when it gets cool in here and could, potentially could save our plants. So we were
07:12able to utilize a lot of stuff we already had. The rafters, the metal, the wood, all
07:20this kind of wood, this rough sawn wood, we already had it. Everything on the front, on
07:25the porch, the big poplar, the old rough sawn poplar beam, we got it off of a job that was
07:31rotten on the bottom. We had to replace it for a guy who took care of that. That was
07:35for Mr. Scott. Scott, you know who you are. But we love our ventilation window. We can
07:41just pull the rope, we can raise the window, release a lot of heat out that way. We have
07:47big doors on the front, big door on the back. I think we got it set up. So we are excited.
07:53In the future you'll be seeing plants growing in here and good stuff happening. So we hope
07:59you enjoyed this video. It's been a fun, fun thing. The ice storm slowed us down. We
08:05probably lost a week or two over that. But the sun popped out, dried up, we got it done.
08:11So we hope you enjoyed this video. We appreciate you and we hope you have a great day. And
08:16we'll see you on the next video.
08:29Thanks for watching.
