Consider This: Tigers (Part 1) - Protecting The Remaining 200

  • 2 tahun lalu
Awang Rasau was an injured male Malayan tiger who was recently caught in Terengganu. He had been shot by poachers -- eight bullets that left his hind legs paralysed. Because of this, he was unable to hunt natural prey, and killed livestock to survive. The Wildlife and National Parks Department (PERHILITAN) had rescued him, but unfortunately, Awang Rasau died from his injuries on March 5th. What needs to be done to protect our wild tigers? Melisa Idris and Sharaad Kuttan speak to Kanitha Krishnasamy, Director, TRAFFIC (Southeast Asia) an NGO that monitors global trade of wild animals and plants.
