Ukraine's President Volodymyr Zelenskyy ordered the suspension of 11 political parties with links to Russia. The Opposition Platform for Life, with 44 out of 450 seats in the Parliament, is the largest of them all. The party chief, Viktor Medvedchuk, has friendly ties with Russian President Vladimir Putin, who is the godfather of Medvedchuk's daughter.
