Don Bestor & His Orchestra - Moonglow

Bestor began his professional career in vaudeville and in the early '20s formed his own dance band, an enterprise which strained him severely. He eventually took a job asbandleader of the prosperous Benson Orchestra. Bestor led a series of his own groups from this point on, and it turned out to be his best career decade. Bestor appeared on the radio for a fairly short part of his career. He retired in 1943. This lovely record was made in 1934, with Joy Lynne on vocal.
