US officials: New virus evolving, taken seriously

US health officials say a new viral respiratory illness is an evolving outbreak that should be taken seriously, but U.S. citizens should not be "worried or frightened."
"They should know that we are taking this obviously very seriously as it evolves," Dr. Anthony Fauci, Director of the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases told reporters before a briefing with Senators in Washington.
The Senate Health Committee and the Senate Foreign Relations Committee held a closed door briefing with top administration health officials regarding the coronavirus outbreak that was first detected in Wuhan, China.
