Shifting to eco-friendly packaging through cassava biobags | New Day

Plastic pollution and improper plastic waste disposal continue to be a problem across the globe. here in the Philippines, studies have shown that we're the biggest polluters generating 2.7 million tons of plastics each year.

That's why there's a growing call for the government companies and other stakeholders to shift to eco-friendly products and packaging.

Here's one step towards achieving the so-called circular economy. This plant in Marilao, Bulacan is producing 'cassava biobags' that are 100 percent biodegradable and compostable.
