A STRANGER ONCE asked Kitten Kay Sera, 'If you love pink so much, why don't you just marry it?' Well now, she has done exactly that, making her the first person in the world to say 'I do' to a colour. Kitten - aka the Pink Lady of Hollywood - has exclusively worn pink for more than 40 years, once reportedly turning down $1m to don another colour. Her entire apartment is decorated in her favourite hue, and even her dog, Pinkaboo, has been dyed pink using beet juice. "I realised the moment that I first put on an all pink outfit back in the 1980s that it'd be my colour forever," she said. "I love that pink is everything wrapped in one colour. It can be feminine, it can be glam, it can be punk." On New Year's Day 2022, Kitten took her obsession to the next level by marrying the colour pink in a world-first ceremony in Las Vegas. She, of course, wore a pink dress and was flanked by her 'bridesmen' in bubblegum-tinted tuxes, while best friend Kelly acted as the officiant. Her army of online fans - nicknamed her pink peeps - helped her plan every detail of the big day. "It was super important to me to have my fans involved in the process. I wanted them to feel like they were a part of the whole event," she said. Though it was not a legal wedding, Kitten very much now considers herself spiritually and symbolically wed.
