It is a temple festival with elaborate ceremonies and rituals, and the origin of the temple is tagged to the Daksha Yagam as mentioned in Hindu mythology. The video of the month has for you some moments from the recently held annual festival at the Kottiyur Temple in Kannur District. Here the presiding deity, Lord Shiva, is not worshipped in the physical form but in concept.
