'Chikara - the Sumo Wrestler's Son' is a film that follows Chikara, a 10-year-old Japanese child, in his quest to become a Sumo wrestler. Chikara's dad was a professional Sumo wrestler, therefore his son has a lot riding on his shoulders. Father now operates a noodle store, where he spends a lot of time. They only spend time together while they are training for Sumo wrestling. Chikara is at a crucial juncture in her life. He tries to impress his daddy, but once he arrives, Chikara becomes apprehensive, and all goes wrong. Chikara is looking forward to competing in the national Sumo Championship. It's the story of a young kid competing in a difficult sport, as well as parental influence and ambitions, but it's also a representing of the father-son bond.
