West Bengal CM Mamata Banerjee on Sunday wrote to PM Modi urging him to reconsider the decision of excluding the state's proposed tableau for the Republic Day parade. She also added that she was profoundly shocked and hurt by the decision. In another story, the daily Covid-19 cases count in Delhi and Mumbai has been showing a decline. While the national capital recorded 18,286 new Covid cases and 28 deaths on Sunday, Mumbai reported 7,895 new infections and 11 deaths on the same day.
