India on Sunday recorded 2,58,089 new Covid cases, the Union Health Ministry said. As many as 8,209 Omicron cases have been detected so far, an increase of 6.02 per cent since the previous day. The number of Covid casualties for the 24 hours was recorded at 385. The positivity rate now stands at 19.65 per cent, which is around 3 per cent more than the previous day. Watch.
