Winter storm in Colorado lashes burnt out neighbourhoods destroyed by major wildfires

Days after serious wildfires broke out in Denver, Colorado, thousands of charred houses have now been inundated with snow following a winter storm. The fires on December 30, 2021, forced tens of thousands of people to abandon their homes. More than 1,000 houses were destroyed from the blazes that left at least seven people injured. Among the three people reported missing was a 91-year-old woman. The cause of the forest fire is still under investigation.
